Schedule jobs and visits
You can create a job without a date and schedule it later. When you know when the work should happen, open its schedule and choose a service date, timing mode, and expected duration.
Fixed and flexible visits
| Mode | What you choose | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed | Date, appointment time, and duration. | Reserves a specific appointment and participates in availability and conflict checks. |
| Flexible | Service date and expected duration. | Leaves the internal start time open so route planning can fit the visit around fixed appointments. |
A flexible visit is scheduled for a day; it is different from an unscheduled backlog job. Do not promise a precise arrival time simply because a route shows an estimate.
Customer arrival windows
A fixed appointment can have a customer arrival window around its internal appointment time. For example, a 10:00 appointment with ±30 minutes shows an arrival range of 9:30–10:30.
The window changes the range communicated to the customer. It does not move the internal appointment or expand the duration used for availability and route planning. Set a starting preference in Job settings, then review it for each booking.
Multiple visits
For a job that is Not Repeating, add visits when the same piece of work needs separate attendances. Each visit can have its own date, time, timing mode, duration, and arrival window.
Open a visit to edit it. On saved jobs, the visit menu offers applicable actions such as Reschedule visit, Cancel visit, or Lock in internal time for flexible work. Review which visit you selected before confirming.
Recurring jobs use one repeating schedule. If you need several different attendances within one job, use multiple visits rather than a recurring schedule.
Reschedule carefully
Review availability and resolve conflicts shown by the picker. Confirm the new schedule and any customer communication offered by the app. A customer's reschedule request flags the visit for your review; it does not automatically replace the existing booking.
Use Booking communications to understand recipients and notification choices, and Day routes to arrange flexible visits for the day.
