On My Way
On My Way lets a customer follow your arrival using an emailed tracking link. Use it from the job when you are ready to travel, after checking the location and the contact email.
Start sharing
- Open the job and choose On My Way when available.
- Review the destination and the sharing explanation.
- Allow the requested location permissions and enable the phone's location services.
- Use the start slider to begin the trip.
TREVY emails the customer a link with live progress and an estimated arrival time. Background location permission allows updates while the app is minimised or the phone is locked. Follow the permission guidance shown for your phone; if settings need changing, return to TREVY after updating them.
While travelling
Location is shared during the active On My Way trip. Estimated arrival depends on the available location and route information, so it can change during travel. Phone connectivity and location settings affect how promptly updates reach the customer.
If you resume sharing after the customer has already received today's tracking link, the app reuses that link without sending a second email.
Stop sharing
Sharing stops when arrival is detected or you tap Stop Sharing. Completing or cancelling the job also stops active sharing. Check the job's sharing state if you finish travelling somewhere other than the destination.
On My Way is separate from recording work time. Depending on the job's work location, the app may offer a Start Timer flow instead, with a choice about emailing the customer. Read the action sheet so you know whether you are sharing travel or starting a work session.
If it is unavailable
Review the reason shown on the job. Check the address, recipient, location services, and permissions before retrying. You can still manage the job and communicate directly while resolving a tracking problem.
