Day routes
A day route brings the day's visit locations and order together so you can review travel before setting off. Open the route view for the day you are planning and check that each job has the correct mapped location.
Before optimising
Check the selected day, your business address and work hours, and the remaining visit locations. Optimisation needs at least two mapped remaining jobs and flexible work that can be arranged. Fixed appointments remain useful for navigation even when there is nothing flexible to optimise.
Missing addresses, inactive workdays, invalid work hours, or a workday that has already ended can prevent optimisation. The app explains the reason when it cannot proceed.
Optimise the route
Choose Optimise Route, wait for the result, and review the stop order and timings. Flexible visits can be planned around fixed appointments; fixed appointment commitments are not replaced by an optimised arrival estimate.
Pay attention to warnings about late arrivals, work outside available time, and flexible visits that remain unplanned. An optimised route is a planning aid, not a guarantee that all travel and work will fit.
Where the route offers manual reordering, review the resulting timings after a move. Use Undo after an optimisation when available to restore the previous plan. If a cooldown or daily limit is shown, wait or continue reviewing the route manually.
Travel and customer communication
Route timings can change with traffic, actual job duration, and the day's progress. Review the next stop before starting navigation. Planning or reordering a route is separate from sending a booking update or starting live customer tracking.
Use On My Way when you are ready to share arrival progress. If the customer's booking needs to change, use the job's schedule and communication actions.
