Search appearance and domain
Use Website → Search appearance to describe your page for search engines and Website → Domains to manage its address. These serve different purposes: search appearance describes the page, while the address is the link customers open.
Search appearance
| Field | Length | What to write |
|---|---|---|
| Search title | 30–60 characters | Your business name, main service, or location. |
| Search description | 80–160 characters | A useful summary of what you offer and where you work. |
Both fields are required to publish. Keep them accurate and readable. Search engines decide when to index a page and what to display, so publishing a title or description does not guarantee immediate changes in search results or a particular ranking.
Save your edits, review the draft, and publish. The page uses your published search settings; preview links are excluded from indexing.
Your default TREVY address
Your default address follows this format:
https://trevy.app/service-providers/your-business
In Domains → Default URL, choose the final part only. It must be 3–60 characters, use lowercase letters, numbers, and single hyphens, and start and end with a letter or number. TREVY checks availability; some names are reserved or already taken.
Before first publication, a saved address is reserved temporarily while you finish setup. Check the reservation information shown in the app rather than assuming the name is held indefinitely.
Change a published address
Use Change on the Default URL card. Review the confirmation before saving: after changing a published address, you must wait 30 days before changing it again. The previous default address redirects to the new one.
Share the current Public Website Link after a change. Changing the default address does not change a connected custom domain, and address changes are separate from publishing content.
Use your own domain
You can connect an address such as www.yourbusiness.com after publishing. Once connected and verified, the default TREVY address redirects visitors to the custom domain.
Custom domains and DNS explains how to connect it, verify the two records, and send the address without www to the same website.
