Quotes

Photos, files, and activity

Open a saved quote to access its supporting files and activity. A saved draft also gives you a place to keep material while preparing the proposal.

Add and organise supporting files

Use the quote's photos/files view to add supporting images, reorder them, or remove ones you no longer need. Keep the material relevant to the proposed work, such as the existing site condition or details that explain the scope.

Files on the quote belong to that record. The project panel connects related documents, but it does not merge every document's files into a single quote gallery.

Public and internal visibility

New files are private by default. Set a file to Public when it should be available to the client, or Internal when it should stay out of the public gallery. The selection controls also support changing visibility for multiple files.

Check visibility before sharing. A public gallery link includes the public files on this quote only, not files attached elsewhere in the project. The client quote page can also show public supporting files supplied with that quote.

Copy the gallery link when you want to share it separately. TREVY does not automatically send that gallery link when you copy it or change a file's visibility. A gallery link is for supporting material; use the quote's review link for the client decision flow.

Notes and terms

Quote Note and Terms & Conditions are client-facing document text. Review them in the preview before issue. The issued quote's detail view lets you read the saved wording; it is not an editor for rewriting the issued document.

Private notes offered when recording acceptance or cancellation are different from the Quote Note. Use the private field to record the context of that action, and check the email preview for what the client will receive.

Read the activity

Use Activity to follow recorded events such as issue, delivery, opens, acceptance, rejection, and cancellation. The current status and decision details help explain what happened to the proposal.

An open event is not acceptance, and an email event is not a payment. If an action is interrupted, check activity and refresh the quote before repeating it.

See Client decisions for online responses and Projects, jobs, and invoices for related work.
