1. Introduction

Welcome to Trevy! We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your data when you use the Trevy mobile app and services. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

Account Details: Name, email, password, and profile picture.
Business Data: Business name, ABN, address, phone number, and logo.
Client & Job Data: Details about your clients, jobs, quotes, and invoices. (We process this to provide the service, but you own this data).

Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: How you use the app (features used, time spent) to help us improve.
Device Data: Device model, OS version, and IP address for security and troubleshooting.
Real-time Location: Precise GPS data is collected only when you explicitly enable the 'On My Way' tracking feature.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

Provide the Service: Create invoices, schedule jobs, and manage your business data.
Process Payments: Manage your subscription via third-party providers.
Improve Trevy: Analyze usage trends to build better features.
Communicate: Send you service updates, security alerts, and support messages.
Marketing (with consent): Send you tips or offers. You can opt-out anytime.
Location Tracking: To share your real-time ETA and location with your specific client when you enable 'On My Way'.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your data. We share it only:

With Service Providers: Trusted tools we use to run the app (e.g., AWS for hosting, Stripe/RevenueCat for payments, Firebase for auth). They only get what they need.
For Legal Reasons: If required by law or to protect safety.
Business Transfers: If Trevy is sold, user data may be transferred to the new owner.
With Your Clients: When you enable 'On My Way', your real-time location is shared with the specific client for that job via a secure tracking link.

5. International Data Transfers

While we are based in Australia, we use global service providers (like AWS and Google) that may store or process data in other countries (such as the USA). We ensure these providers adhere to strict security and privacy standards compatible with Australian law.

6. Data Security & Retention

We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your operational data within 30 days (backups may take up to 90 days to clear).

7. Your Rights

Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to:

Access the personal info we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate info.
Request deletion of your data.

To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected].

8. Complaints

If you have a privacy complaint, please contact us first so we can fix it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
