Clients
Clients are at the centre of your work in TREVY. Each client record brings together the customer information you need to manage jobs, communicate with customers, and keep track of their documents.
A client can have multiple locations and contacts, making it easy to manage customers with several properties, different billing addresses, or multiple people involved in their work.
Getting started
New to TREVY? Start by creating your first client.
You only need a name to get started. You can add contact details, addresses, and other information whenever you need them.
Create clients as you work
You don't need to create all your clients in advance. You can add a new client directly while creating a job, quote, invoice, or credit note.

How client information works
A client record connects several parts of TREVY.
Contacts
Contacts are the people associated with a client or their locations.
You can save their names, email addresses, and phone numbers, reuse existing contacts, and choose a primary contact for each location.
When a job needs a contact, TREVY can use the location's primary contact automatically.
Locations
Locations are the addresses associated with a client.
You can save multiple service addresses, designate primary and billing locations, and keep access notes for individual properties.
For example, a property manager might have an office for billing and several rental properties where work takes place.
Jobs and documents
A client's jobs, quotes, invoices, credit notes, and other related records can be accessed from their client details.
The client summary also provides an overview of paid amounts, jobs, outstanding balances, and available credit.
Keeping information up to date
Changes to a client's details can affect the information used for future work, but they don't automatically rewrite every existing document.
For example, changing a client's email doesn't change the recipient recorded on an invoice that has already been sent.
Check details before sending
When sending a job notification, quote, invoice, or other document, review the selected contact and recipient email to make sure the information is correct.
