Getting Started

Set up your business

Your business profile contains the details TREVY uses across quotes, invoices, jobs, routes, and other features.

You've already entered your business name during account creation. You can now complete the rest of your profile, including your contact details, logo, ABN, and business location.

You don't need to fill in everything at once. Start with the details you need for your work and return to the others when you're ready.

Business details vs account details

Your Business profile contains the information associated with your business and its customer-facing documents.

Your personal Account controls your name, sign-in email, password, and access.

Changing your business email address does not change the email address you use to sign in.

Open your business profile

You can open the Business screen in two ways:

  1. From Home, scroll to the main menu and select Business.
  2. Open the Get started card on Home and select Add your ABN.

Both options open the same Business screen.

Most fields save automatically after you enter or select a valid value. Some changes, such as updating your business email address, require additional verification.

Add your business details

Business name

Your business name is the name customers recognise and see on your quotes, invoices, and other customer documents. It also identifies your business on Home.

The name you entered during account creation is already filled in.

To change it, edit the Business Name field. Your changes save automatically.

Use the trading or business name your customers will recognise.

Business email address

Your business email address is the contact address customers see and can reply to. It can also appear on your quotes and invoices.

Your business email is separate from your login email

Changing your business email address does not change the email address associated with your TREVY account.

You can use a different email address for business correspondence and account sign-in.

To update your business email:

  1. Select Email Address.
  2. Enter your new business email address.
  3. Select Send Code.
  4. Find the six-digit verification code sent to the new address.
  5. Enter the code and select Verify and Update Email.

Your business email address changes only after verification succeeds.

If the code is invalid or has expired, return to the email-change flow and request a new one.

Business phone number

Enter the phone number customers should use to contact your business.

TREVY stores the country code with your number and validates it before saving.

Your phone number can appear alongside your business details on quotes and invoices.

You can also clear the field if you don't want to publish a phone number on your documents.

Your logo helps customers recognise your business on quotes, invoices, and other generated documents.

To add a logo:

  1. Select Upload Logo.
  2. Choose a JPG, JPEG, or PNG image from your device.

If you've already uploaded a logo, select it to replace it. You can also use the close button on the image to remove it.

To see how your branding looks on a document, select the preview icon beside LOGO. TREVY will display the invoice template with your current logo and business details.

Getting the best result

Use a clear logo with some space around it and enough contrast to remain readable on a white document.

Set up your Australian business details

Australian Business Number (ABN)

Enter your Australian Business Number in the ABN field.

TREVY validates the 11-digit number and formats it for display.

Your ABN appears alongside your business details on quotes and invoices. TREVY also uses it when checking Australian document and tax requirements.

If you're registered for GST, make sure your ABN is present before issuing tax invoices.

Complete your Get started milestone

Adding a valid ABN completes the Add your ABN milestone in TREVY's in-app Get started checklist.

This is the only business-profile task tracked by that milestone. You don't need to complete the other fields on this page to mark it as finished.

GST registration

Use Registered for GST to tell TREVY whether your business is registered for GST.

SettingWhat happens
EnabledGST applies to taxable items on new quotes and invoices.
DisabledGST does not apply to new quotes and invoices.

This setting determines the default tax treatment for new documents.

Check your tax details before issuing documents

Review the tax treatment and totals before issuing each quote or invoice, particularly after changing your GST registration setting.

Enabling GST registration does not replace the need to enter a valid ABN.

Set your business location and timezone

Business location

Select Location to search for and save your main business address.

You can preview the location on a map and open the saved address in your device's map app.

TREVY can use your business location for several purposes:

  • Displaying your address on quotes, invoices, and related documents.
  • Providing a starting point or reference for day routes.
  • Using your business address as a job address when appropriate.
  • Showing your address on your public TREVY website, if you separately enable that option.

Using a home address?

Consider whether you want your full address to be visible to customers, particularly if you operate your business from home.

Your address is only shown on your public TREVY website when you separately enable that option.

Business timezone

TREVY automatically detects a timezone during account and business setup.

You should confirm that it's correct before scheduling real work.

Your business timezone controls how TREVY interprets and displays:

  • Job times and calendar dates.
  • Routes and recurring schedules.
  • Activity times and other time-based information.

Select Timezone and choose the timezone in which your business operates.

Travelling with TREVY?

Choose your business's operating timezone rather than the timezone of a device that's temporarily travelling.

This helps keep your scheduling and other time-based information consistent.

Before exploring demo documents

You only need to add a valid ABN to complete the business-details milestone in your in-app Get started checklist.

However, adding a few more details can make your demo documents more useful.

Consider completing your:

  • Business logo
  • Business email address
  • Phone number
  • Business location

Your demo quote and invoice previews can then show how your own business identity and contact details will look to customers.

You can return to Home → Business whenever you need to update these details.
